New Pictures!

Dear Folks,
Time has not been friendly to me!  I do admit that I tend to squander my time on silly things.  Not even things that are productive.  I'm hooked on this stupid game on my iPad.  It's called Frozen Freefall.  It is a very good thing that once in a while it won't let you advance till after you have beaten a level and waited 24 hours.  I realize it is a gimmick to make me fork over $$$$$ to continue, but I refuse to pay to play.  So right now I'm in that waiting space.  :)

These are the cards we made using the Watercolor Pencils.  This was way back in February.  The class was planned for January, but I made an emergency trip to Alaska to watch my 4 nieces and nephews while my Sister-in-law and her husband went to NYC for my sister's cancer treatment. Serious business for them, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the kiddos!
Back to the class!  ALL of the ladies loved the pencils and by now all of them own their own set.
In March we used the Fruits paper and stamp set.  Here is a photo of one of the cards my ladies made:
The ladies all learned how to use the shaving cream marbling technique!  On gal even taught her Bible study children how to do this!

April showers came with a class on masking.  Some of the ladies have done this before, but they also relearned a few things.  They connected 3-5 dancing ladies.

They stamped the Lovely As a Tree grouping onto a beautiful sunset.
Then they learned how to use doilies as masks for very cool backgrounds.

Then, just to have fun with a stamp set that was retiring, the ladies made these adorable baby cards to give to a new mom and baby.

More to come next time!

Happy New Year!

What a wonderful Christmas!  80 hand-stamped cards mailed out to friends and family.  That is one of my favorite things to do.  No matter how busy my Christmas prep time gets, I always make sure to send my cards.  Maybe a few days before Christmas, but still, they get out there.

So, with a new year comes a new Occassions Catalog!  This one is so good I could hardly stop myself from ordering everything for myself.

Stampin'Up! brought back the Watercolor Pencils, but this time the colors are all SU!  I love them.  I've been having fun coloring.  I have a class planned for Jan 7 all around coloring!  I can't wait!

Next love--the Oh So Succulent Bundle.  This bundle is so good because you can make those cool wreaths.  The kit is ok, but I think I can do a bit better.

Balloons!  This catalog is all about Ballons.  Birthday balloons and Hot air balloons.  Stamps and Thinlits and paper.  While there is lots of room for artistic design, these products make it easy to put together an easy handmade card.

Valentine, babies, Easter, lighthouses; this catalog has it all.  Love!

And to sweeten the deal for shopping the Occassions catalog, it's time for Sale-a-Bration!  For every $50 you spend, you pick one item from the SAB brochure.  And these products are SWEET! Tacos, chickens, flowers, paper, and a kit.

So this is if for now.  Enjoy the catalog and if you want to place an order, please go to my SU website.

Christmas in September

I don't think I mentioned that I have 2 dogs and one cat.  Maxine is our 9 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever.  She's nine.  She's blind. She bumps into things.  Enter, a 9 month old English Lab.  He's 11 months now.  We are his 3rd home.  His name is Jethro Leroy Gibbs.  We call him Jet.  He is beautiful!  Silky black hair.  He is also a little bit ADD.  No, A LOT ADD.  He has so much energy that he wears me down.  I bring up my pets today, because Jet has been so lonely.  Our area has been hit with a deluge of rain for 4 days.  Four days inside with Jet. Also, my husband has been on travel this week.  Poor puppies!  They really love and miss Daddy.   This really puts a crimp in my crafting.  You see, Jet has to be on me when I do anything!  So, I'm taking this brief time to catch up.
We had a Christmas in September to kick off the Holiday Catalog.  I'll post pics of the cool cards we made.   Lots of fun and beautiful cards. I think I forgot to post pics of the August class projects.  I hope I still have the pictures.
Enjoy the pics, and browse the catalogs.

Love,
Linda

Hello!

Happy New Year for Stampin'Up!  The new catalog is up and running!  Want to know some of my early favorites?  Well, Swirly Bird and its thinlettes are up there on my list.  Check out some of the Youtube's on this set.

I just had to have the Foxy Friends stamp set, punch, and 6 x 6 paper are so cool!  The stamp set lets you make foxes, cats, or raccoons.  I see this as gift tags, place cards, name tags, and of course, fabulous greeting cards.

Our new in colors are so pretty!  I admit that I have a hard time getting use to them each year, but this is an easy year to love them.

I've seen some beautiful laser-cut cards and journal covers.  The Floral Thinlettes Dies will help me copy some of that look.  I'm thinking of covering my own journal with this set.  There are stamps, DSP, and Washi tape that go together.

Pineapples are all the rage right now.  So, SU has one of its own.  I just got my box of goodies and will be playing with different designs for this stamp.

On the personal side, our 2nd oldest is home with us for a while.  She is a crafter, like I am.  We still haven't visited Williamsburg since she moved in.  We are planning a visit to NYC to hang out with our oldest and her husband.  I hope to have some pics to post.

Enjoy the new catalog.  Email me if you have questions.

Happy Stamping!

I'm a little behind, so I will post the latest catalog next month.  Here are a few pics of the cards I've been making.  I really like stamping the hard wood background on printed paper.  This one is stamped on the white naturals paper that is no longer with SU.
This card is made with washi tape.  SU has the best product on the market.  This tape sticks and doesn't seem to stretch.  SU also has some really pretty tapes.

This card was a hit at my spring stamp camp.  I love the VW,  Chris and I had our own when we were in high school.

Isn't this bunny cute!  He is made with a mini coffee cup and I used the stamp set from the Occasions catalog.
OK, I have to add a little fun.  This was Fondue night at my house.  The whole family was home for Easter.  Fondue is a favorite.

Just a fun pic from our trip to NYC in March 2016.  Tami and I were able to see our kids.  Susie saw her daughter on the way home.

One more pic from our trip.  We had a little snow while we were in the city.  It was so cold!

One Sheet Wonder Class

OK, I know it's been a very long time, but here I am.  I'm back to talk to whoever is out there reading this.
In March I held this great One Sheet Wonder Class.  I'll post pics to show how cool these cards turned out.  I just lined up 2 more classes for April and May.  Pictures to follow!

Customers can't actually order from it until June 2, but you can certainly LOOK at it.  Get one in your hands and peruse all those delicious pages.  Mark it up with your list of "gotta have this" stickers.  I will totally get pictures on here with my samples.  Please stay tuned!
